  2.                        A Periodic Table Editor

  4. PerTable allows you to design and print your own periodic chart.  It can
  5. print a table so large that the print job would use 1000 sheets of paper.
  6. It can also print a poster of a single element in color.

  8. To install, copy all of the files in PERTABLE.ZIP (except VBSOURCE.ZIP) to a
  9. diskette.  From Windows File Manager select setup.exe.  This program also 
  10. requires that VBRUN300.DLL be in your windows\system directory.  That file 
  11. is available on the internet at cica.indiana.edu/pub/pc/win3/util (get
  12. VBRUN301.EXE).

  14. The source code for this program is in VBSOURCE.ZIP.  Unless you are 
  15. interested in programing, I would delete that file.  The program was written 
  16. using Visual Basic 3.0 for Windows.  To run the source code in the Visual 
  17. Basic programing environment, copy PERTABLE.HLP and PERTABLE.DAT to the 
  18. directory containing the source files.  The program will give a load error 
  19. because it does not know which directory PERTABLE.ICO is in.  To correct 
  20. this, go to the frmPeriodic Properties Window, choose icon, and find 
  21. PERTABLE.ICO in the file dialog box.

  23. When printing with a laser printer, the option "Print Truetype as Graphics"
  24. MUST be selected.  Otherwise, letters will be missing and extra pages may 
  25. be printed.
